Welcome to Harvest Time Church!
We are a non-denominational, Spirit-filled church. We welcome people of every age and race, from all walks of life. We are committed to reaching the lost, teaching the Gospel of our Lord Jesus, and equipping the believer for the Lord’s work. It is our desire to see lives transformed by the power of God’s Word.
We are a small church with a BIG vision. Not only are we reaching into the local community, but we are also reaching families across the United States through Freedom Women's Ministry- a ministry for ladies age 18 and over- and through the evangelistic ministry of Rev Shawn Collier. The reach of the church extends internationally through our missions work.
Perhaps what you will notice most is that we are a family. We are here for each other and believe in everyone getting involved in fulfilling the vision in whatever area they are gifted. We would love to have you join us in worship!
Rev Shawn Collier founded Harvest Time Ministries, Inc in 1996. She heard the call clearly and felt the fire of God compelling her to trust and obey. She began with $2,000 from her own savings, a 6,400-square-foot building with a mortgage, and one staff member.
It was a huge leap of faith. Rev Shawn pioneered this new work for God with great sacrifice. She lived off a meager salary of $300/month, and there were times that she worked more than eighty hours a week. There were many obstacles to overcome in forging the way. However, God always proved faithful when all seemed impossible.
Volunteers donated of their time and skills to help the newly founded Christian boarding school for teen girls with the necessary repairs to get it up and running. An empty building quickly filled to capacity with hurting girls. God soon led Rev Shawn to expand the ministry. Five years after its founding, Harvest Time moved to a new location. The new facility spanned nine acres. It included a beautiful "A" frame chapel, a parsonage, small office building, gymnasium, twenty-four student dormitory, and a pool. Within a few years of signing the agreement to buy the property, it was donated- free and clear! A new school building was built in 2007, and remodeling has been underway to transform the gymnasium into a three-hundred seat sanctuary with offices and classrooms.
Rev Shawn has traveled to multiple states evangelizing, preaching a powerful life-changing Word, and sharing the vision of Harvest Time. She has taken others on missions trips to the Philippines, Greece, and a home missions trip ministering to the homeless and poor of Pensacola, Florida. The most recent mission trips were to Kenya in 2016 and Nicaragua in 2017.
The ministry has certainly changed over the years, but the heart and vision have remained the same, “Restoring God’s Family, One Life at a Time.”
